Under the direction of the Physical Plant Mechanic Supervisor, provide journey-level Sheet metal experience, supporting the SEPP projects, as well as repair a variety of campus equipment. Design, layout, fabricate and install all elements of sheet metal work for mechanical and HVAC systems, both supply and exhaust systems including duct work, fittings, grilles, diffusers, louvers, fume hoods, fans and blowers. Design, layout, fabricate and install gutters, down spouts, roof edgings, flashings, louvers and miscellaneous boxes, bins, carts, etc. Weld, brace and/or solder aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized iron, cold rolled steel and black iron. Perform proper time keeping and accounting of materials and expenses for assigned projects.
